Rose Quartz and Hematite Chandelier Earrings

My mother is in the Operating Room having surgery so I am just waiting it out in the waiting room and decided to post these earrings up on Etsy.

These Copper wrapped Rose Quartz and Hematite chandelier earrings are elegant for any occasion out and if you are not going out they add a touch of elegance to the casual fashions!

Rose Quartz is a stone of self love. It gently reminds you to love yourself and boosts up your self esteem. Hematite cleanses the blood and grounds you.

Combined, the two will gently enable ground yourself in your own love--the love of God or the Divine Spirit.

Peridot, Hematite, and Freshwater Pearl Choker

This delicate choker is the perfect accessory for that little black dress. The Hematite goes with any color and the Peridot, which in ancient times was once used as currency, adds that little sparkle. The Freshwater Pearls add that touch of elegance that makes this choker a must have!

Glass Heart with Rose Quartz Beads

First I want to give an update on my mother.

She will be having a triple bypass surgery on her heart on Monday or Tuesday--we are not sure of the exact day yet but the doctors want to talk to me about it which means I need an off day real soon.

I'll get it no worries there.

So far she has had a blood transfusion to boost up her red blood cells. All her tests before the surgery showed that, unlike last year, she is better able to physically handle it.

So while she's been in the hospital, and I have been at her side--working. The piece to the left is one of many. I haven't posted it for sale as I want to take a better photo.

This piece is a glass heart that I wrapped with copper and added three rose quartz beads.

Mom's back in the hospital

Yesterday, as I was just waking up and about to get ready for work, Mom couldn't breathe. Her inhaler didn't work either. Her face was grey so I called 911. We were rushed to the hospital with sirens screaming flying through redlights--I was in the front seat of the ambulance.

I noticed this about the medics--one in the back and one driving--the driver always tries to get your mind off of the situation by starting conversations with you--which is good.

Anyway in the ER they gave her a bimap/bymap (not sure how to spell it) treatment. Imagine you are in the passenger seat of a car, window rolled all the way down and yall are going 100 miles an hour and your head is out the window. Now imaging all that air and the pressure being sealed into your nose and mouth and the only way it has to go is into your lungs. That's what they did to my mother. And she went from grey to normal in 10 minutes.

But here's the thing: so far, the docs don't know what's going on. It's not her heart--she had several tests to prove that and we are just awaiting one more test--her cardio sonogram.

As you know, I didn't work yesterday. I am covering my coworker tonight and opening the store tomorrow so I won't get to see her until I get off tomorrow. And I won't be online much or able to hang out in the Etsy forums helping other people via twitter and just making friends.

I did some jewelry while in the ER so in a few days I will have the pics up and them on sale...but right now I have to focus on my job and mother.

Conch Shell Wrapped in Copper with Peridot

This beautiful shell was picked up on St. Simon's Island, GA when I was down there back in 2006.

I decided to make a piece of jewelry from it :) I wrapped it with copper and added 3 small pieces of Peridot to it.

This stone is known as "the healers stone" as it helps in aiding people who work in healing others to cleanse their auras and release neutralizing the toxins on all levels.

Peridot purifies the subtle bodies and mind. It opens cleanses and activates the heart and solar plexus chakra.

You can buy this piece by clicking right here

New Look! Also, would love to feature other blogs here!

Since I recently had a makeover, I thought my blog should too! I love the colors and would love your comments!

Onto the featuring part. If you scroll down a bit and look to the right you will see "More Cool Blogs" That's where I want to put your blog!

So if you would like me to do that, leave me a comment with your blog's link and I will do the rest.

It would be awesome if you could do the same for me--I even have a widget built--but you don't have to.

Amethyst wrapped in Copper

Amethyst wrapped in Copper

I wrapped this beautiful piece of amethyst in copper to look like the perfect gift. It hangs peacefully on an aloe stem ready for you to connect with it.

Amethyst Meaning

Amethyst is simply a crystalline quartz in shades of purple, lilac or mauve and a stone traditionally worn to guard against drunkeness and to instill a sober mind. The word amethyst comes from the Greek meaning "without drunkenness" and amethyst is beleived to protect one from poison.

It is used as a dream stone and to help insomnia. Put an amethyst under your pillow to bring about pleasant dreams, or rub it across your forehead to offer relief from a headache.

Ancient Egyptians used the amethyst guard against guilty and fearful feelings. It has been worn as protection from self-deception, as well as a protection against witchcraft. The amethyst has long been used to open the spiritual and psychic centers, making it one of the power stones. It is also used as a meditation aid when worn as a necklace.

The amethyst is known as the Bishop's Stone and is still worn by Catholic Bishops. The amethyst symbolizes piety, humility, sincerity and spiritual wisdom. It is thought the amethyst is the perfect stone to symbolize The Age of Aquarius.

Amethyst is a gemstone often worn by healers, as it has the power to focus energy. A healer will usually wear several pieces of jewelry with amethysts set in silver, especially an amethyst necklace. The person to be healed will have an Amethyst to hold while the healing is being done. The healer will place another piece of Amethyst on the area of the body in need of healing, the heart or lungs usually.

Amethyst is used for problems in the blood and in breathing problems. Amethyst crystal clusters are used to keep the air and life force in the home clean and positive.

Amethyst clusters, points or several tumbled Amethysts placed in a window that receives sun most of the day are very beneficial to use in healing and to heal negativity in the home. Place Amethyst clusters, points or several tumbled Amethysts in moonlight and everyone in the home will be feeling calmer. Using an Amethyst as a meditation focus will increase the positive spiritual feelings. Amethyst helps overcome fears and cravings. It also helps relieve headaches.

Mom in the hospital--too much going on for creating but that's about to change

Haven't had a chance to do much--,my mother was in the hospital and Art4TheHomeless, the nonprofit I am setting up--had a huge event last night. We raised over $200 going toward the $400 IRS tax exemption fee.

I am going to start creating up a storm and doing promos on my Etsy Page.

Since there were only two comments for the giveaway I am not going to give away anything. I needed 50. I am working on a new giveaway plan soon and hopefully we will have more participants.

Mom's home now and the event was awesome last night. I have three pieces of my own art up for a month and hopefully some of them will sell.
